ATTENTION FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
As we are sure you are aware, there are major issues in getting freight through to Far North Queensland due to recent flooding.
As previously advised, the current weather conditions in Queensland are continuing to create ongoing service disruptions due to significant flooding.
Please see a summary of impacted areas:
• Cairns is currently inaccessible from all directions with no road services in or out at this time. This also includes the Atherton, Mareeba, & Innisfail areas.
• Townsville is intermittently
accessible depending on conditions. Some sites have had to suspend services whilst others are operating on skeleton crews where safe to do so.
• Charters Towers is currently closed.
• The Bruce Highway between
Townsville and Mackay continues to experience delays due to localised flooding. These are mostly tidal flooding issues, causing intermittent highway closures and reopening’s.
Note that there is still significant heavy rainfall in Far North Queensland and Central Queensland which may further impact accessibility into these regions.
What does this mean for you?
• Please consider holding off
dispatching any non-urgent freight to these regions, as it will create congestion within carrier networks and there is a greater risk of damage or loss of freight.
• Please consider updating your receiver and customer base to expect delays until the flooding subsides.
• Urgent or critical freight
(ie same-day medical deliveries) will be subject to airport access.
• Please hold off on enquiries for deliveries into this region unless the freight is critical.
• For anything that is urgent, please liaise with your Account Manager on potential options.
What next?
We
continue to work closely with our carrier partners to understand the expected time frames for the flooding to subside and for services to return into these regions and will provide updates as we receive them.

Changes to Freight Charges
Trading Terms and Conditions (Updated January 2025)
Wholesale prices on invoices do not include GST. 10% GST applies on all products. Suggest RRP’s do include GST. (Pricing on website includes GST)
Minimum order $300 + GST
QLD/NSW/ACT/VIC/SA – Most orders over $1000 ex GST will be charged a flat shipping of $50 ex GST
TAS/NT – Most orders*over $1000 ex GST will be charged a flat shipping of $100 ex GST
Key Changes to Freight Charges:
Metro Perth: Orders over $1000 (ex GST) will be subject to a flat shipping fee of $100 (ex GST). The following postcodes are included in the Metro Perth region: 6000 – 6032 / 6036 / 6050 – 6083 / 6090 – 6112 / 6147 – 6160 / 6162 –6172.
WA - Country/Remote Areas: Freight charges will be calculated at the time of invoicing. Once your order is placed, our Sales team will send you a freight quote via email. If we don’t hear from you within 24 hours, your order will automatically be sent to Dispatch with freight charges added.
We have been
working closely with multiple freight companies to ensure we offer the best possible service. We understand the importance of keeping freight costs reasonable, while balancing this with delivery speed. However, please note that the most cost-effective option may not always provide the fastest service.
Due to shipping
logistics, freight to WA does not leave daily from the Gold Coast and must pass through Brisbane and Sydney, which means delivery times can take up to 2 weeks from dispatch. Longer delays may occur during peak periods.
Please know that we
highly value our WA customers, and this decision was not made lightly. We are committed to providing the best service we can, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support.
*Freight share costs may apply on large orders that require palletisation or on deliveries to remote locations.
Orders under $1000 ex GST will continue to be charged standard freight pricing.
Credit limits are at the discretion of Annabel Trends.
